The Chichester Canal is a surviving section of the Portsmouth and Arundel Canal, running from Chichester Basin southward to the harbour at Birdham. The canal is navigable by small boats on the restored section, and the towpath provides a popular walking and cycling route through flat countryside. The Canal Trust operates boat trips and continues restoration work.
