Chichester Cathedral is the mother church of the Diocese of Chichester, begun in 1075 and standing at the heart of the city. The building is a mixture of Norman and Gothic styles, with the unique distinction among English cathedrals of being visible from the sea. The cathedral contains notable artworks including a Marc Chagall window, a John Piper tapestry, and Romanesque relief panels of exceptional quality. Free admission, regular services and concerts.
