Fishbourne Roman Palace is the largest Roman residential building discovered in Britain, with mosaic floors including the celebrated Cupid on a Dolphin design. Built around AD 75 and destroyed by fire around AD 270, the palace was rediscovered in 1960. The museum covers the north wing mosaics and the replanted Roman garden. Open year-round.
