Hambledon Vineyard is one of England's leading sparkling wine producers, situated on the chalk slopes above the village of Hambledon in the Meon Valley. Today it covers over 100 acres of south-facing chalk downland, a terroir that draws comparisons with the Champagne region of France. The vineyard produces a range of classic-method sparkling wines, including Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, and Rose, using Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes. The wines have won numerous awards at international competitions and are stocked by leading restaurants and retailers. The winery and cellars, built in 2018, are state-of-the-art facilities designed to handle the expanding production. Hambledon Vineyard offers tours, tastings, and events throughout the year, and the vineyard shop and terrace cafe provide views across the vines and the surrounding downland. The village of Hambledon, famous as the cradle of cricket, is a short walk away.
